whooping cough?
Have you seen those new commercials about whooping cough aka Pertussis?
Frankly, they annoy me.
Think about it. If whooping cough were really on the rise, is modern medicine really that bad that it couldn't fix it pretty quickly? And anyway, the commercial isn't for people whose children already have it, it's for those who do not have it...
There are two possibilities that I can think of here.
First, They are scaring people into getting this shot, not for something that has a remote possibility of killing your child, but for some other reason. My thought here is probably some sort of tracking program. Conspiracy theory anyone?
Second, There is a rise in occurrences of pertussis in kids who got their immunizations and they don't want to come out and say that, so they are saying "come and get one more shot so you don't have to worry about it".
Honestly, I would like to get a stat of which kids are getting Pertussis and what the percentage is of those who have been immunized and those who have not.
I honestly thought whooping cough was destroyed years ago. How are we getting these weird diseases back in our children unless there is something else going on here?
